#SOL20 Changes

Here I am

The moment you realize how tiny you are, and at the same time how large. I’m here in Florida with my daughter and son in law, in their new home feeling very special and grateful.

I helped the ‘kids’ move into their new house in December while I was home for winter break, I come back a few months later to their home. It is amazing how the nest they have made is welcoming and warm. I admire my daughter for the amazing women she has become. They welcome me into their home during this time of uncertainty and questioning of health and well being.

Today was a great first day in Florida, we were able to walk on the beach and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Amelia and I went to Sprouts for food and supplies for the upcoming weeks. We came home and watched the sun setting over their home. Made dinner and enjoyed the comforts of kinship and home.

Moment to moment, live each moment, as it is precious.

  1. This sounds like a lovely place to stay in place! I love your line: “I helped the ‘kids’ move into their new house in December while I was home for winter break, I come back a few months later to their home.” That sense of them making the place their own shines through this sentence.

  2. How fortunate for you to get out in time and have somewhere lovely to go to! Enjoy your time in the midst of the uncertainty!
